Jack Jessee has been on 3 seasons of Ice Road Truckers. He drives the Dalton Highway year round. Rain or shine, snow or sun, or all 4 at once. This blog is about the various loads he hauls, the things he sees, and anything else that might be interesting. Written by Jack Jessee’s wife, Judy.

Love the blog, very nice. I enjoy anything from alaska. I love IRT, we watch many things about alaska. This is a very nice picture. Judy have you every been able to take a trip with Jack? Would you ever go with him on the Dalton in the winter? It scares me. My dad was a trucker so I know the danger. Bless both of you and be safe. Judy Falin
Hi Judy, yes I’ve been up the Dalton with Jack twice. The first time was our “first date” 🙂 The above photo is from that trip. I’ll try to write a post about it one of these days. And yes I want to go in the winter, at least once.
You can see photos from my other trip with Jack in the autumn of 2008 at our Alaska Heavy Haul site.
Thanks for your comments!
Hi Judy, Love the blog. If you could pass onto Jack that he has a big Australian fan base and is much loved down under.
I sure will Sarah, thanks!
I thoroughly enjoy watching Ice Road Truckers. As the HR Director for my company, I find it very interesting to listen to the truckers thoughts on their work. And, I’d like to say thatJack is the voice of reason this season!
i have a question about irt. i live in france and on the web site of carlile they says we must live in america and work all the year. we can’t just do the 2 month of irt. if i want to live in alaska and work more years from carlile ltd it is possible ? thank for the answer
sorry for taking so long to answer. we are not sure…maybe you would have to get a work visa… not sure if they are hiring tho.
thanks! I agree. 🙂 (sorry it’s been 2 years since you commented…!)
My husband and I enjoy watching IRT and cheering Jack on, we never miss an episode. I was wandering when you all were coming back to Hillsville, VA to do another Meet and Greet? I had the pleasure meeting you both at the VFW on July 23, 2010. When I came to the meet and greet, I found that Jack’s father Mr. James Jesse was my elementary school priniple. I knew that Jack was from Carroll County VA, but never put two and two together. Funny how you find out things out such a small world. Tell Jack to keep up the hard work, and can’t wait for another Meet and Greet, so my husband can have the pleasure of meeting you all like I did. Take care, and can’t wait to catch up on more exciting facts from the blog. 🙂
Thanks Amy not sure when Jack will be able to do another meet and greet. If we make it down there this year we won’t have quite enough time to plan that. I’ll tell Jack what you said and we appreciate you reading the blog! 🙂

Big Fan In Alberta Canada
thanks, my favorites are the wildlife photos too
Hello Judy. I’m watching Ice Road Truckers and Jack is my favorite trucker.
Please greet him and tell him he has a fan from Bosnia and Hercegovina.
Good luck to you both.
wow that’s a long ways away. I’ll tell him 🙂 (even tho you commented a whole 2 years ago and I’m just now replying)
Hi Judy, My husband is a big fan of IRT. Sam Fleury is my husband’s cousin. When we recieved a christmas letter from Cheyanne and Sam, we realized Jack is Sam’s brother-in-law. Duane my husband, watches IRT all the time. Duane has been a trucker all his life, Jack is one of his favorite drivers. We live in NY where Sam is from . Tell Jack good luck with his next season, we will be watching.
Hi Barbara, Cheyanne’s Christmas letter is always great isn’t it!? Thanks for stopping by. Happy New Year!
Like your site, glad you have one. I am Canadian. I started watching IRT two years ago. I enjoy your role in IRT, as you are sensible and responsible, and your load count proves that being down to earth, and having a good head on your shoulders makes you a much better person, you don’t leave people ‘under the bus’, you have gained a lot of respect in my eyes. Congrats on your win last season.
Hi Lisa, I’ve been watching Ice Road Truckers since the first episode. If you get a chance to watch all the seasons, let me tell you you’ll really enjoy it. It will really open your eyes to some of the other dangers, of Ice Road Trucking. In Fact my Sweetheart, used to truck drive the Ice Roads, and knows Alex Debogorski, and Hugh. The one thing Chris remembers quite clearly about the reputation of Hugh Roland, is whoever hired him would fire him because he rode the trucks too hard. Oh, and we Live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I recently participated in a quiz, to see which IRT trucker I are most like. My answer was, I’m like Jack. The one thing I wish, the viewers cold hear more is Jack’s laugh. Loved it when he met Austin Wheeler for the first time. Judy you sure are one lucky gal. You get to hear Jacks’ laugh, anytime he’s home. Wishing You and Jack a Safe, Healthy, and Happy New Year. God Bless Another Canadian Fan Susan
Thanks Lisa and Susan! Yes, I love Jack’s laugh too.
Hello Jack and Judy, I am a big fan of IRT and I am glad I found this blog, very interesting to read it. It is great when down to earth people like yourselves take the time to keep in touch with the fans, that goes a long way in my opinion! I sent a message via facebook with my address so I was wondering if it was possible to have a signed photo mailed to me. Take care guys and hope to hear from you!
Bonjour judy et jack. Je vous envoie un petit coucou de France ou je suis les aventures de Jack. Je suis déçut de ne pas voir Jack cette année. J’espère le retrouver l’année prochaine. Jean Christophe de France.

Do you have a facebook page? if yes then it would be great to have a link to it in your blog, so we do not follow fake pages out there.
good idea. 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/jack.jessee.18
Hey Jack and Judy! really enjoy reading your blog. Keeps me interested in trucking. I was wondering if you do guest posts? I would love to write for you some time!
Hey Jack and Judy! Really love the blog, you guys do an amazing job! Have a lot of free time on my hands and was looking to get into blogging. I would love to do a guest post for you guys!
What would you write about?
We would write about 10 roads that would be beautiful to drive on.
These are the main keypoints we would include the article for each road that there is. Endpoints
Location
Scenic/Geography
Landsmarks
History
Fun Fact
We would also include relevant photos that will enhance the quality of the article. I will also include a link in the article to https://www.mtsdm.com/drivers/driver-jobs/ for anyone looking for a truck driving job.
Judy, thank you for all your hard work in maintaining the blog and responding so quickly to everyone. Just got into IRT recently, Jack is a joy to watch and has really brightened up these dark winter nights. Thanks again and keep up the good work :o)
Mel.x
Yes, he is fun to watch. 🙂 Thanks for checking out the blog!
Still interested in a guest post?
I’m sorry, Jack said no to the guest post. But thanks for asking!
Hello Jack and Judy. I live in the southwest of FRANCE near the Pyrénées Mountains (Biarritz). Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures of your country and state with the hope to visit Alaska one day … In the meantime, I follows the adventures of Jack watching IRT.
Jack, Judy, Keep going do make us dream … Thank you very much! Merci beaucoup!
Cyril
Jack is my favorite, please tell him that he is known and admired here in Nicaragua. We want to know a little bit more about himself, for example: what is his favorite food? what does he does when he is not working? what kind of music does he like? and so on. Bye.
Love you Jack! The Seasons you were on, are by far my favourite. Hopefully we can see you this summer on season 7. Best of luck on the ice roads and in personal life.
Hi i’m from Colombia, i’m a big fan and i send my bests wishes to jack. Keep on road!!!!
Just watched the season premiere of IRT, wish you were gonna be on this season : (
Wishing you and Jack a nice summertime from good old Germany
Franky
Hey Judy and Jack …just wanted to thank your for your blog. My husband and I really liked watching IRT and seeing Jack. Much to our surprise (after waiting the anticipation of the new season) to see Jack Jesse not on there this year. Not just Jack but Carlisle Trucking altogether. We are not too fond of the new IRT with Hugh…don’t particularly care for all the cursing. We are hopeful that we will see Jack and Carlisle back next season….any plans for that happening?
Jack, Thanks for the ride to Deadhorse. The Asimov trilogy is Foundation. You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_series

Hey Jack & Judy. I have been a big fan of Ice Road Truckers for years. I was married to a trucker for about 5 years Judy. I know what the life of a trucker’s wife is like. I didn’t my husband for weeks at a time. Truckers do not truly get the respect they deserve. What people don’t realize, truckers risk their lives daily to get us products and goods that we would not have were it not for them. Jack you have my respect and Judy you have mine because I have walked in your shoes in the past. God bless you both. I loved the shows Jack, I think you really personify what Carlisle tried to portray on the show– safety and reliability.
You’re right Cristian Gal. Trucker are our unsung Heroes, if it weren’t for them, we wouldn’t have a home, or any of the contents, not to mention groceries. In fact we wouldn’t have a pot to pee in, if it weren’t for our Truckers. As for Jack, I like to think of him as the calvary. Every time Carlisle, needed someone to haul deep off the main Ice Roads, it was always Jack they could depend on getting it there in 1 piece. Jack is also Calisle’s Knight in Shining Armor. We Miss you Jack
I’m french so, please, excuse my english …
But I want to say to you how much I like to watch Jack’s aventures on the road ! The new season is begining tonight here 🙂
hope you enjoyed it!
just seen tha episode where jack leave, im gutted, he is megaaaaa
What a brilliant blogg!!! Jack seems the coolest and most confident driver on the Dalton, great to watch.
thanks Alex!
Hello Jack. I have been a fan of yours since your first episode of Ice Road Truckers. You exemplify and personify what a real trucker should be. You are to be admired. I spent 20 years in the Fuel Oil Business in Brooklyn, N.Y., so I know what a great truck driver should be like. We had mostly Autocars. I am interested in what you have been doing since the show went all Canada. Are you still with Carlisle ? Do they still have the same trucks ? I recall you drove 2019 for many years.
From Jack: Yes, I used to drive that T8, now I drive a W9. I think there is a photo of it in the blog from about a year ago. Yep still with Carlile, still driving because I need to make a real living lol. I tried to represent the real industry so thanks for your comments.
Not sure if you guys know where New Zealand is, but they show IRT here and it’s the only show I wait for every week. Jack is a Legend!
Jack says thanks but that he’s just a regular guy lol 🙂
And yes we’ve always wanted to visit New Zealand.
Judy, how can you say that?? Jack, he’s Carlile go to guy……Jacks the Cavelry, when Carlile needs an experience driver. I know Jack’s a southern gentleman, & he loves his Pecan Pies, but he’s been eating too many Humble Pies. lol I think that’s why Jack is everyones favorite.
lol I’ll tell him that Susan
Hey Judy, yup, it’s me again. I don’t watch IRT anymore. Oh I’m still a big fan of Lisa Kelly, but there’s just too much swearing, there’s bullying, it’s just NOT a reality show anymore. In 1 shot of Lisa, she’s got al kinds of clips in her hair, next frame No clips, next frame, back to clips. I miss Phil, Jack, I miss the whole gang at Carlile, in AK. All, you Boys Stay Safe, and that goes double for you Jack
Thanks Judy, You both are Aces in my Book!!!
Hi Judy, I hear you have some Really Nasty Weather heading your way, I pray that You, Jack & the kids, will all Stay Safe
I don’t think Fairbanks will get the worst of it but we’ll see. Thanks Susan
Thanks for dropping by and following ! I look forward to updates to The Jack Jessee Blog!
hi jack , miss watching you and the other guys up there on IRT. should have a show with you’s guys up there ! thus not the same show as it was up there .
